Cache, mail and search
Redis and Valkey for caching and queues, Mailpit to catch emails, Typesense and Meilisearch for search.
Redis and Valkey
In-memory cache, sessions and queues, kept on disk between restarts. Valkey is the open source fork of Redis, compatible with its clients and protocol.
redis://127.0.0.1:6379
Open in TablePlus works for them too. Linked to a Laravel project, Joppa writes REDIS_HOST, REDIS_PORT, REDIS_PASSWORD, and switches the CACHE_STORE, SESSION_DRIVER and QUEUE_CONNECTION variables to redis if the project declares them.
Mailpit
Mailpit catches every email your projects send in dev and shows them in a web inbox. Nothing actually goes out.
| Address | |
|---|---|
| SMTP | smtp://127.0.0.1:1025 |
| Web inbox | http://127.0.0.1:8025 |
Open inbox opens the web interface. Linked to a project, Joppa writes the SMTP config under the framework’s names (MAIL_* for Laravel, MAILER_DSN for Symfony…). See Environment variables.
Typesense
Instant, typo-tolerant search, Laravel Scout compatible.
